Announcing the Winner
of the 2007 Lincoln MKZ Luxury Midsize Sedan

The excitement was palpable at the recent 3rd Annual Drawing for the winner of 2007 Lincoln MKZ luxury midsize sedan on July 12th. Around 15 people gathered at Stanford Lincoln Mercury in Menlo Park for the reception and drawing. Numerous attendees looked over the display car, sat in the driver’s seat, and enjoyed the aroma of a brand new car.
At 7:30 promptly, the drum containing all the drawing entries was rolled again for the final time. A young 12-year old child in attendance did the honors, reached far into the drum, and drew out one stub—identifying this year’s lucky winner.
The LFNC Executive Director, Jo Dewhirst, read the name on the entry form to announce the winner. The showroom was deadly quiet and then, from the far corner of the showroom, one of the reception attendees called out---“it’s me, I’m here!”
We didn’t even have to call this year’s winner on the telephone—he was already there!

Everyone was astounded the winner was in attendance and shared his excitement.
The lucky winner was Marc Chateauvert, of San Francisco, who attended with his girlfriend, Melissa Sutter. When Marc’s name was drawn, Melissa was speechless.
Melissa has been a lupus patient for 16 years and had great difficulty managing her disease for many years. However now she is more stable and in much better health. Melissa is in frequent contact with the LFNC, and both she and Marc entered this year’s Lincoln drawing.
Marc has owned his own forklift company for the past 16 years. He sells, rents and services this equipment. Most of his customers are in the food industry.
Marc commented, “I enter drawings all the time and I have never won anything.
Wow, I can’t believe I won something so valuable!” Marc has two other cars but not nearly as new or luxurious as the Lincoln MKZ.
Marc said he is so busy with his business he doesn’t usually take long automobile trips, but hopes to take the Lincoln on a long road-trip with Melissa this summer to visit an old friend in Portland, Oregon.
Bob Kopf, the owner of Stanford Lincoln Mercury, was present and made it possible for Marc to drive the Lincoln home that night. This is the first time one of our luxury car winners actually drove his car out of the showroom and home that same evening! It was very efficient and fun for all!
Thanks to Bob Kopf, Owner/Manager of Stanford Lincoln Mercury, for allowing us to purchase the 2007
Lincoln MKZ Luxury Sedan at a very reasonable cost.
