  Upcoming Education Classes in English & Spanish
The next education classes for Lupus patients and family members in English and Spanish will be repeated on Saturday, June 14, 2008.
Dial-a-Doctor Night
Questions will be accepted during regular office hours. The next Dial-a Doctor Night is Monday, November 3, 2008.
Medical Referral List
The Foundation has compiled and annually updates a listing of doctors specialized in the treatment of lupus.
Subchapters and Support Groups
The Foundation has helped 28 subchapters and support groups become established throughout central and northern California. The Foundation provides educational materials, assistance, promotional assistance, and annual training for these groups. We also list contact information and current meeting schedules.
Library of Medical Articles
The Foundation has 750 medical articles in our current library.
16-Page Quarterly Newsletter
This publication features new medical and self-help articles in each issue. Newsletter also promotes our upcoming events and subchapter activities.
New Services Available for Chinese Speaking Clients
Free services are available for Chinese speaking families concerned about Lupus.
Video Library
The Foundation has an extensive video library of our conferences and other lupus related subjects. These are available for rent by current members. We also have some available for sale.

Youth Outreach Training Materials
Introduced in the Spring, 2001, we are pleased to offer comprehensive training materials to enable people who would like to facilitate support groups for young people with lupus.
Employment Resources
The Lupus Foundation of Northern California has a variety of resources to assist those who are concerned about employment issues.
New You Program
The 16-page New You (self-help) magazine is available for a one dollar donation. BALF members receive a free copy. New You seminars have been presented periodically on such topics as wardrobe, exercise, pain management, emotional well-being, self defense, humor and healing, and alternative treatment methods. Some of these programs were professionally videotaped and are available in our video lending library.
Youth Support Groups
The Foundation has three youth support groups that meet regularly. Check here for current contacts and schedules.
Outreach Program
The Foundation provides outreach programs to minority populations
Pregnancy Planning Worksheet
This form was designed for a lupus patient to complete if she is considering pregnancy in the future. She should print and complete this form, then take it with her for pre-pregnancy discussion with her attending physician or gynecologist.

Recent Conferences

2008 Spring Conference
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE): The Basics, The Present and Future, presented by Dr. Joseph Isaacson on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View. Plan to attend this very informative presentation.

  Fall Conference—2007
The LFNC Fall Conference features two rheumatologists speaking on Current Treatment Methods for Lupus. One presentation will be in English and the other in Spanish. A third speaker will discuss Clinical Trial Participation—What to Know.
Spring 2007 Conference
Spring 2007 Conference features Dr. Lorinda Chung speaking on Heart Involvement in Women with Lupus. Plan to attend this very informative conference to be held on Saturday, March 24, 2007.
Fall Conference at Stanford
A highly informative conference was co-sponsored with Stanford that featured six physician speakers and a panel on Sat., October 21, 2006. VHS copies now available for LFNC members.
